CLAYERS GONNA CLAY!
The San Francisco Clayer's Club was created by EDoT (Economic Development on Third) as Bayview's very own public access pottery studio. We offer classes, memberships, workshops and special events such as birthday parties and team building. We at SF Clayer's Club firmly believe in the transformative power of art and making in communities. Clay can be a deeply therapeutic medium for artists of all ages and skill levels. Creating with clay allows us to slow down, disconnect from the digital world, and to trust the process. The San Francisco Clayer's Club is a community of artists and students working side-by-side in a friendly environment that encourages and inspires artistic growth. We believe everyone has an artist inside them!

UPCOMING CLASSES
2- DAY SLIPCASTING WORKSHOP
In this weekend workshop you will learn the fundamentals of Slipcasting- the process of replicating nearly any everyday item by creating plaster molds that you cast into with liquid clay called slip. You will create one to two molds of your chosen object(s) to use in your future studio practice. Workshop includes lunch. All materials included.

BEGINNER WHEEL
This is your Intro to All Things Wheel Class! No clay experience? No problem! We will take you from A-Z through all the basics you need to know on the wheel to get your clay journey started- learn to center, throw a few different basic forms, trimming, surface treatment, the glazing process and so much more sprinkled in between!

Every Thursday for Six Weeks
Classes include:
A 25 lb bag of clay
Firing of your pottery
Glazes/materials
Use of studio machinery, tools and equipment
Personal shelf storage space
ONE TIME WHEEL CLASS
Not sure if you want to commit to a full six-week course?
Join us for an evening of exploration! Our One Time Wheel (OTW) classes are perfect for the clay curious! In this class you will take a deep dive crash course into all things wheel! You will have the opportunity to create 3 pieces to take home during this three hour class. So peel yourself away from Netflix for a night and grab a friend (or a date!) and join us!- we can't promise you'll make a masterpiece, but we can promise you'll have a whole lot of fun trying!
The class fee is $80 per person, which covers instruction, clay, tools, glaze and firing. (After your class, we'll notify you when your work is ready for pick up, which typically takes about 4 weeks.)
